Via Big Woods Road

From the intersection of Route 9 and 301: head away from Cold Spring on 301, pass the first entrance to Glynwood on the left (the beginning of a 2-mile dirt road into the farm), and keep going up the hill.  Pass the entrance to Stone Crop Gardens on the left and take the next left onto Big Woods Road which is signed "Big Woods Trailhead." 

From the intersection of the Taconic Parkway and 301: head towards Fahnestock State Park, passing the park headquarters and Canopus Lake. Take the next right onto Big Woods Road which is signed "Big Woods Trailhead." We recommend you use this pin.  

After turning onto Big Woods Road, continue past a parking lot on your left and turn right at the stop sign to enter Glynwood. Continue on to a stop sign at the bottom of the hill, then continue straight past the pond on your right. From there, you can follow the signs to the Main Office, Perkins House, the Farm Store, and other buildings on site. 

Via Glynwood Road 

For GPS: Type "Glynwood Road" into Google maps to reach our road.  The entrance is on the north side of Route 301, between Route 9 and the Taconic State Parkway. A large “Glynwood” sign is located at the top of the road. 

After entering the site, proceed slowly up Glynwood Road for approximately two miles. You will drive along a dirt road through a wooded area, and then you will reach a paved area and pass a lake, several farmhouses, and two large red barns. Continue along the road past these buildings, following signs for the office and parking area.

Metro North commuter service is available from Grand Central Station (New York City) to Cold Spring. Trains leave Grand Central approximately every hour (check Metro North’s train schedule for departure times); fares vary during peak and non-peak hours of travel.

Taxi service to or from the train station is not generally available without a reservation. We highly recommend prescheduling a rideshare through Uber or Lyft.
